I developed an interest in food and drinks growing up in the US and have long wished to work with food. That wish became reality in 2008 when I left a banking job in Hong Kong and moved to Hokkaido with my wife Noriko and our 2 daughters. After volunteering at a local farm, Noriko and I began building a strong network among the local farmers, fishermen and other food producers in Hokkaido. Our dream was to share with others the wonderfully natural food and experiences of life in Hokkaido. Our years in Hokkaido enabled us to create the HOKKAIDian Homestead to share our experiences and to help our guests reconnect with life's simple pleasures.
