わたしたちは、北海道ならではの美味しい食べ物や生活体験をたくさんのみなさんと共有できる場所として、ホッカイディアンホームステッドを創りました。2008年に家族でこの地に移り住んでから、農家さん、漁師さんや地元の人々、そして私たちを取り巻く大自然の美しさすべてが、　生きていることの喜びを再発見する日々のインスピレーションになってます。

We built HOKKAIDian Homestead as a place to share the unique and wonderful foods and life experiences of Hokkaido.
Since we moved our family here back in 2008, the people we work with and the beauty that surrounds us have been the constant inspirations for us to reconnect with life’s simple pleasures. We hope you will visit us to experience this yourself.

Our hilltop property is blessed with fertile farmland and a captivating view of our natural surroundings. The panoramic view of the nearby ocean and mountains helps us appreciate the bounties we receive from nature.

Work in Harmony

We designed the Homestead to work in harmony with the natural landscape so our guests can relax and be absorbed into the beautiful nature.

納屋風キッチン

丘の上の納屋風キッチン、“バーンキッチン”は、プロ仕様のキッチンを兼ね備えた多目的スペース。料理のワークショップや食の集まり、特別な日にはカフェにも早変わり。プライベートなイベントを企画することもできます。 誕生日パーティー、チームビルディングイベント、ワイン会、ミニコンサートなどを開催しています。

Situated at the top of the hill is our Barn Kitchen, a rustic style indoor space with a fully equipped professional kitchen. The Barn Kitchen is a multi-purpose room that are used for our culinary workshops and classes, food gatherings and as a cafe on selected days.
It could be also be booked for private functions. In the past we have hosted birthday parties, team building events, wine tastings and mini concerts.

Ian

香港生まれ、アメリカで育ち。小さいころから食べることが大好きで、いつか食べ物に関わる仕事がしたいと思い続けてきました。その願いが叶ったのは、香港での銀行勤めを辞め、妻と2人の娘とともに北海道に移り住んだ2008年です。地元の皆さんの惜しみないご支援のおかげで、地域の農家さん、漁師さん、そして道内の食に関わる生産者さんと強力なネットワークを築いていくことができました。こうした経験から、私たちは北海道のすばらしい食べ物と暮らしをみなさんと共有したいと考えるようになり、この場所をつくることを思い立ちました。幸運なことに理想的な土地も見つかり、ホッカイディアン ホームステッドを立ち上げることができました。人生の素朴な喜びを再発見していただくことができる場所です。

I developed an interest in food and drinks growing up in the US and have long wished to work with food. That wish became reality in 2008 when I left a banking job in Hong Kong and moved to Hokkaido with my wife Noriko and our 2 daughters. After volunteering at a local farm, Noriko and I began building a strong network among the local farmers, fishermen and other food producers in Hokkaido. Our dream was to share with others the wonderfully natural food and experiences of life in Hokkaido. Our years in Hokkaido enabled us to create the HOKKAIDian Homestead to share our experiences and to help our guests reconnect with life’s simple pleasures.

Noriko

海外で20年暮らした後、家族とともに日本に舞い戻ってきました。　関東生まれの住宅地育ちですが、自然の息吹を日々感じられる北海道の暮らしに生かされています。この北海道の大自然の恵みと今ここに生きていることの奇跡と感動を一人でも多くの方と共有したいと願っています。

After having lived many years abroad, I returned to Japan with my husband Ian and our 2 daughters in 2008. Originally from Tokyo, I am now at home and in love with the natural Hokkaido lifestyle that we hope to share with guests of the HOKKAIDian Homestead.
